Dimitris Nikas is the Managing Director of Medtronic Hellas and Chairman of the Association of Health Research & Biotechnology Industry (SEIV). He studied Production and Management Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (BA, 1990) and Business Administration at IAE - University of Grenoble II (DEA, 1991). He also served as a postgraduate researcher in Financial Management at the same institution (1991-1994) and worked as an assistant professor at Pierre Mendès France University, Grenoble II.

At the beginning of his career, he worked as a consultant supporting the entry and promotion of Greek consumer products in the French market. He later worked in the textile sector as a Financial Analyst and subsequently in the automotive spare parts industry as Financial Controller at Magnetti Marelli (Fiat Group), later serving as CFO.

For the past 25 years he has been with Medtronic Hellas, where he held senior roles including Financial and Administrative Director, Deputy General Manager and Sales Director before becoming Managing Director in August 2017.

In December 2023 he was re-elected Chairman of SEIV
